Defiant North Korea Fires Off 7 Missiles

The South Korean government says its Communist neighbor has fired seven ballistic missiles off its eastern coast — an apparent show of defiance on the same day the United States celebrates its Independence Day. The launches come as the international community works to punish North Korea for its May 25 nuclear test.
