Sarah Palin Plans Second Book, Shops TV Show

Sarah Palin’s first book, “Going Rogue: An American Life,” was a runaway bestseller, so it’s no surprise that the former Alaska governor and one-time vice presidential candidate already has a follow-up title in the works.

HarperCollins stated Thursday that Palin will write a second book, a “celebration of American virtues and strengths.”

The work, which doesn’t have a title yet, will feature selections of readings that have inspired her and portraits of people she admires, Reuters reported.

“She will also draw from her personal experience to amplify these timely (and timeless) themes,” HarperCollins stated in a statement.

“Going Rogue” has sold more than 2.2 million copies, according to the publishing house.

Meanwhile, Palin has been meeting with network executives, reportedly pitching an idea for a tv show.

The conservative superstar has teamed up with reality show producer Mark Burnett (who is responsible for “Survivor” and “The Apprentice”) to push to all the major broadcast networks a TV docudrama about Alaska, Entertainment Weekly reported. One source told the magazine the show would be a “planet-Earth type look” at Palin’s home state.

Since losing her vice presidential campaign and resigning as Alaska’s governor, Palin has worked as a commentator at Fox News and made numerous public appearances, including a speech at the conservative “Tea Party” convention.

Earlier this week, Palin cracked jokes with Jay Leno on “The Tonight Show.”
