Survivor All-Stars have their state

Richard Hatch

Survivor 1: Borneo, Survivor 8: All-Stars Survivor’s skinny-dipping first champion was denied permission to appear on Heroes vs. Villains dueto his 2006 conviction for tax evasion. Besides ducking taxes on hismillion-dollar winnings, he failed to declare a automobile he won on theseries.

"I’m absolutely innocent," the 48-year-old maintained onhis day pass to the CBS party (he’s still technically under housearrest after serving two years in prison). "I anticipate to be exoneratedand it’s a tragedy that I’ve had to do what I’ve had to do."

Hatch had better luck convincing the first Survivor juryhe was worth a million. How did he succeed where other savvy playershave stumbled as they neared the finish line? "You’ve got to maintain afocus," he says, suggesting Survivor 19 wise guy Russell Hantz (back on Heroes vs. Villains) was a crafty player but took his eye off the prize.

Jerri Manthey

Survivor 2: Australia, All-Stars, Survivor 20: Heroes vs. Villains Manthey was Survivor’s original vixen, the curly-haired man-eater who bewitched good guy Colby Donaldson in the Australian Outback.

"I’m amazed that this many people still care," Manthey, 39, stated at the jam-packed Survivor 10thanniversary party. "Everybody speaks about their 15 minutes of fame. Ifeel like I’m on my third or fourth hour at this point."

Manthey did not anticipate to be invited onto Heroes vs. Villains afterfamously walking off the "All-Stars" after-show. "I felt like I left onsuch a negative note," she says, adding that this third attempt to winthe million was her chance to prove "to myself that Survivor cannot beat me."

And,yes, she still has her eye on Colby. "Believe me, I noticed him tonightwith his cowboy hat," she purred at the party. "He’s still got it, andI’m still interested in what he is got."

Rudy Boesch

Borneo, All-Stars Now 82, the former Navy SEAL came third in the original Survivor and was 75 at the time of the All-Star edition, making him the oldest competitor ever. He was considered for Heroes vs. Villains but missed the cut when Burnett had second thoughts about stranding an octogenarian on his island.

Boeschhas no doubts he could have whupped those other punks. "They’ve turnedit into a bikini contest," he growled at the 10th anniversary party.
